Is this it?! 35+2 and panicking

Hi all,

I’m 35+2 with my second baby and have only felt 1 tiny flutter of movement since waking up about 1.5 hours ago. Usually baby is active in the morning, and if not, wakes up after I’ve eaten and drank water or lied on my left hand side on the couch. I’ve tried all these things and still nothing. Yesterday on two separate times and again this morning I’ve had little bits of gloopy discharge so I’m worrying whether this is my mucus plug. I also have slight dull lower back ache on my left hand side and have had two bad trips to the toilet (although I did have a curry last night! Sorry if TMI!). I’m starting to worry as I gave birth via EMCS with my DS at 36+2 after feeling no movements at all during the day so I don’t know if this is just me overthinking. I went to triage about 10 days ago with reduced movements and the criteria didn’t meet for 50 minutes even though he was kicking all over the place and then it met and I was free to go. I have no idea whether this is just something I’m building up to be worse than it is.

Silly question but should I call the triage? MIL is away on holiday and my mum is 2 hours away, DP is looking after DS so I don’t know who would look after him if something happened.

Always call triage if in doubt. Better to get checked out than regret not getting checked out.

Your babies movements have changed, please contact triage.

Never a wasted call to a midwife! Remember it is their job to speak to you when you need them!

Go and get your baby checked , they've hardly moved?! X

Yes, call triage and go in

Baby should be moving right up to delivery
