Hello I rlly rlly need some reassurance and of course some honest opinions on what it could be, so I missed my period I was 8 days late, I kept taking tests all negative until I took a first response, it came up faint but it was very visible, I then took another 2 days later (yesterday) during the day and it was darker than the first one, before I took them I also took a digital clear blue which said 1-2 weeks, I taken cheap tests and they have the faintest line ever or negative but I have solid positives on first response? I'm so confused my app thinks I'm 6 weeks pregnant but the clear blue says 1-2 weeks I know I could've ovulated late and stuff but I'm a little worried and confused? Anyone had this before with the cheap tests giving the lightest positives? Thanks also taken a first response this morning and it was a little fainter than the one yesterday...

Cheap tests are not very sensitive compare to first response so it’s normal to get a decent line on first response and barely a line on a cheap test. Obviously as they pregnancy progresses and the hormones get higher you will get darker lines. But in my experience iv always had a dark line in a cheap test by 5 weeks. Could be you ovulated late?

Maybe I did ovulate late, but I'm pretty much getting nothing on cheap tests :(

Your line looks like it’s getting darker so I would say pretty soon you will test positive on a cheap test If you choose to keep testing

The lines can vary depending on the time of day you test and if you've had a lot to drink. Try and give it a couple of days and test again, I think first thing in the morning is meant to be best.

Could be HCG is rising slowly, which can be completely normal since what matters is that it's doubling not how high it is per se and the normal range is really wide - or it can (unfortunately) suggest it you might be heading in the direction of a chemical pregnancy. But if the lines are getting stronger on a FRER that's a good sign so congratulations and fingers crossed for you. :)

CB 1-2 weeks is 3-4 weeks from last period. That combined with late ovulation, could account for the low number.

Or diluted pee if it wasn't FMU?

Yep the cheapies were always really really light compared to anything else. If they show anything that's a positive for me.
Congrats

I'm 51 years old and tonight I had a positive pregnancy test. I'm not sure if it's genuine or the menopause although I've no symptoms of that. I dtd on 23th August and i had a implantation bleeding about 8 days after that.
Could anyone give me any advice please

@Mary19700 might be worth getting HCG bloods done to confirm.

Hey, so I'm like 5/6 weeks pregnant and while I still have tender breasts whenever I touch them, my minor cramping hasn't come back since yesterday evening and I'm not sure if it's any need to be concerned (this is my first time being pregnant). Am I overthinking or should I do another test to be sure...

Mary19700 · 07/09/2022 21:47

There's no many people I know works at my drs and I don't want anyone else knowing my business yet. Is there any way I could get my bloods done privately

mummatara · 08/09/2022 21:35

@Mary19700 you can get private bloods done by a company called medichecks

Mary19700 · 08/09/2022 23:06

Where are they based. Going to take another test first thing in morning again

mummatara · 08/09/2022 23:13

@Mary19700 you order online and they send it in the post to you

Mary19700 · 08/09/2022 23:13
