Hello!

I am 4weeks and 6 days pregnant via IVF after many failed attempts and a miscarriage. Due date is early May based on IVF websites, not gone for a scan yet. If you are in a similar situation, please join so we can support each other :)

@Lisabrown88 Hi!!! Thanks for creating, you’re right. It feels like with an ivf pregnancy I’m almost waiting for the other show to drop as usually something goes wrong 😬

@MrsT36 literally im constantly anxious and I have been testing almost every 3 days, so nervous something will go wrong but we need to remain positive i guess 😟.

No it was my 4th cycle, how about you? Are you on all the meds till week 12?

@Lisabrown88 it costs a fortune in tests doesn’t it??? Then you’ve got the worst of the lines getting darker, it makes you crazy 🙈
Oh wow 4th cycle, that must have been such a hard journey. This is cycle one embryo 7. We’ve been really lucky and our last embryo worked so we’ve got a little boy. Lots of trail and error but last time I took blood thinners to 36 weeks so plan to do the same again if we get that far. defo on all the normal meds to 12 weeks.
You must be beside yourself at the minute! it’s such a shame we can’t just trust it and relax and enjoy isn’t it? Xxx

Hi just looking for a bit of advice since you have been through the process before me and my partner have just done our first frozen embryo transfer we are not on day 15 after the embryo transfer up until day 14 we was getting positive pregnancy test but today we done three all this morning all saying negative. We also had a blood test done yesterday day 14 and they told us today they can confirm we are pregnant but I am concerned why the negative test now have you ever experienced this?

Hi @Gabe22 it can be the time of day or how much water you’ve drunk that’s really affects the results.
I’d try again with first morning wee with a frer test.
I have experienced early losses where the line disappeared but it tends to be gradual, what type of test did you use? Did the clinic confirm your hcg results?

Hi thanks for the reply so we used the clear blue digital ones that was saying pregnant 1-2 weeks then we have tried other clear blue digital ones that was coming up pregnant on the screen and we have used the basic clear blue ones with the blue cross and for days we have had positive on day 9,10,11,12,13 and 14 after a day 5 frozen embryo transfer. Then we went for a blood test day 14 and got the result today which said they showed pregnancy but did not tell us the hcg level I asked for a copy of the results and they said they would send them over once a doctor has signed them off so hopefully have them tomorrow but they said because we are so anxious after getting a negative test on day 15 they would re do bloods on Friday and show us the increase in hcg to put our minds at rest but even though they seem pretty sure I’m pregnant my gut tells me that the embryo did implant and was trying to grow for days but then obviously failed to carry on growing and now my hcg levels have dropped because of this

@MrsT36 oh wow thats so great you have had a little boy as well! This will be my first pregnancy (fingers crossed to the very end!). Yess it gets quite expensive with all the testing but not as expensive as the IVF meds lol. Im taking the progesterone injections everyday for 12 weeks! As well as the pessaries, baby aspirin and estradiol! So you reckon the blood thinners helped you?

I rushed to test this morning as it marks 5 weeks hahaha, its finally showing at 3+ on clearblue! It just feels so good to be true, like something bad is about to happen any minute!

@Gabe22 firstly congrats to getting that positive sign, very strange with the clearblue results, did you try morning pee like @MrsT36 mentioned? Try with another pack of clearblue that shows the weeks. Just have to patiently wait for the blood test on Friday unfortunately as that will give you the answer you need and will destress you. Please let us know how it goes, rooting for you as I know how stressful it can be!

Hi! Jumping on this thread as I'm also day 1 of week 5. This is embryo 1 of cycle 2 (didn't get any embryos last time) and the first time I've ever had a BFP. I'm in the same boat, absolutely convinced something is going to go wrong! It definitely feels too good to be true after 5 years of trying.

Hi just a quick question but how long is the wait before you can try for a second embryo transfer is there a certain time limit

Hi @thepregnantpause congrats!! The feeling of seeing a BFP after seeing soo many negatives is so amazing. Yes we all feel the same way about waiting for something bad to happen but hopefully we can overcome this terrible feeling. Im 5weeks and 1 day pregnant today! I did the clearblue test yesterday and saw the 3+ sign, was over the moon! Hopefully going in the right direction

@Gabe22 between my fresh and frozen cycle I waited about 2 full cycles with NHS, cause I was at risk of OHSS, but with FET I was with private and I did cycles back to back and my doctor was okay with that

@Lisabrown88 congratulations on your BFP too! When is your scan booked for? Mine's the 20th and I think I'll be on edge til then!

@thepregnantpause thank you! Mine is on the 1st of October cause il be abroad. Im tempted to do an early scan at 6.5 weeks. I keep freaking out cause i get spotting here and there. Also I feel totally bruised down there from inserting the pessaries 3 times a day. Just wish it didnt have to be so stressful but im glad its still a BFP!

Congrats on your pregnancies!! I am due at the beginning of May too. It is such an exciting time but also I am incredibly anxious.

This is my 4th embryo transfer. My last transfer I got pregnant and had a missed miscarriage and had to have surgery and it was so traumatic.

I can't quite believe I am pregnant again. This has been 3 years of trying (1 year naturally and 2 yrs of ivf). I am hoping this will be the time we finally get our baby, but i am scared everyday, and not able to enjoy the amazing news.

Scan is booked for 2 weeks time so hoping after that i will relax a bit.
I don't have much in the way of pregnancy symptoms atm....needing to pee more at night time and am very tired, boobs hurt if I press them but other than that i feel ok.
Anyone had any cravings or sickness yet?

@RainbowLiverpool congratulations!!! I’m so sorry about your missed miscarriage, you must be on tender hooks to the scan.
My OTD isn’t until tomorrow but I got a 2-3 weeks on a clear blue today!! It makes me feel better even though I’ve got no symptoms.
@Gabe22 I hope your bloods on Friday went ok?
@Lisabrown88 I’m on the lubion too and I’m dreaming the cost of that to 2 weeks, still cheaper than another full cycle!! I’m with Care Chester and I’ll get a scan about 6 weeks to check how everything is, How many weeks will you be on October 1st?

@Lisabrown88 that seems late for an IVF test! Mine was the 20th but I've had a few weird cramps on one side so was worried it was ectopic, they've said it doesn't sound like anything to be concerned about as I've had no other symptoms and it only occurs at night, but have brought my scan foward to the 14th to put my mind at ease. The nurse I spoke to said the 20th was quite late! On the 14th I'll be exactly 5 weeks (got my dates very mixed up first time I wrote, my egg collection was on 10th Sept) so I would check with your clinic if you can have an earlier one.

@RainbowLiverpool congrats on your BFP and sorry to hear about the earlier pregnancy. It never gets easier with a miscarriage and every experience is so traumatic. Ive suffered similar loss as well and this is my 4th IVF cycle too so really hope this is our rainbow babies!ibr had no weird cravings but regarding symptoms ive had light pink and brown spotting, I also feel like ive scratched my insides from inserting all those pessaries and so its become so painful to insert each time. Because of this ive asked for an early scan to check things tomorrow. Then will do a proper scan at 7 weeks ie next week Thursday. Really nervous to check tomorrow but the bleeding is freaking me out quite alot.

@MrsT36 haha yea the cost of Lubion for 12 weeks is alot! But worth it if its a successful pregnancy. I dont mind lubion, im just tired of the pessaries 3 times a day! Il be having earlier scans over the next couple of weeks privately due to some bleeding im having but NHS is in October which will be about 9 weeks or so.

Is it just me or does every single day feel like its dragging out? Maybe after our scans we will all feel better! Will anyone still be doing a HCG test? Or just the scan

our bloods came back from Friday and they said the hcg level had rapidly declined so looks like we will have had an early miscarriage. Told us to stop take the meds immediately and we have an appointment on Friday with a consultant to talk about the next steps. From what I’ve read up on my partner will need to have a natural cycle and then we can look at doing embryo number 2 so fingers crossed.

I got my positive last week after having a frozen embryo transfer done the week before.
my very first cycle I became pregnant with a girl who is now 3. Then we tried in June/July but it failed and this time it’s worked. I was due to go for a blood test at the clinic on Friday last week but I got covid. Hoping I can go for a blood test this week.

This period of time up until the scan I’m finding worst than the 2 week wait!

@Gabe22 im so sorry to hear. I understand how disappointing it is and no amount of "it will be fine" can help. Take the time to grieve and hopefully it works next time round, just dont give up.

@Nb790410 congrats on your BFP!! Yea no one tells your the 2.5 weeks wait after a BFP is also horrible! Fingers crossed on the blood test :)

I had an early 5 week scan today cause i was spotting for a number of days. Literally nothing to be seen just a tin but they found a fibroid which scared me alittle so just have to keep an eye on it. The doctor told me to do a blood test to check my HCG level but im so scared to do one incase it is going down. Has everyone done a second HCG test?

Hi ladies , I am 5.5 weeks pregnant. Frozen transfer last embryo 🤞🤞🤞🤞Absolutely petrified of miscarrying . Trying not to Google too much re: miscarriage rates etc.

I agree the wait until the 8 & 12 week scan is going to be tough !

I am on crinone vaginal gel … I think I might have a bit of cystitis going on too due to that ..sore breasts but that’s about it with me.

I am 5wk1d today. I had also IVF done, 3rd cycle. First cycle last FET was my 3 year old DD and second cycle had a miscarriage first attempt chemical the second. Now 3rd cycle I had BFP. We cycled abroad this time and had 2 embryos transferred.
I did Beta HCG last week which was good. I done one today repeat and waiting for result.
I am using estradiol, progesterone 3x, aspirin, folic acid, prednisolone, clexane to thin blood injections every day and once a week progesterone injection.
Private scan next week. After that I might do few more scans till 12 week NHS scan.

Feel really anxious, every day like all of you passes slowly with symptoms spotting..

I am hoping my result for Beta is in good direction. Hopefully result will be tomorrow.

Unfortunately im out of the journey, did a beta HCG test and it was quite low for week 6! Also started bleeding this evening so would just speak to the doctors on next steps.
