Yes I had it all day and night. Try to eat little and often

Yes. Same here. You have my sympathy.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 30/08/2022 22:09

Both pregnancies I used to feel fine in the morning but come 4pm all the way through the evening into the night I would feel sick / be sick until I was asleep.

Thank you for your replies- why do they call it morning sickness 🤢.

It's awful- glad I'm not abnormal though. Also have a massive food aversion and have gone off all meat and fish and today I added cheese to that list 🙈.

@CaptainMyCaptain hope it stops soon for you x

I think there must be some sort of hormonal carnage at play come the late afternoon/evening because that's always when my sickness was worst. I've heard lots of other people say the same!

PMAmostofthetime · 30/08/2022 22:27

@turquoise1988 why is is so wrongly called morning sickness! I have just been sick again- I was late home from work though so think that I ate too late- not doing that again 🙈

I was like this - fine all day (except for odd food aversions) but 4pm was my 'witching hour'- sick and exhausted. Thanks to my lovely boss I was able to change my working hours to finish at 4 most days and generally went straight home (5 mins drive) and slept for 2 hours through the nausea - usually woke up feeling hungry and much better. It lifted after about 16/18 weeks. Went off cooked meat (ham/beef/chicken etc) loved cheese, curry, chilli- all strong flavours- bread and all Greggs pasties - also developed a very sweet tooth (20 yrs on and I still have this)
On the plus side I really craved fruit and veg as well so ate loads of that. DS is a curry lover since being a wee nipper! I was always fine in the mornings Grin hope you feel better and more like yourself soon.

Debsdonein · 30/08/2022 22:39

Nighttime both times for me. Could not brush my teeth on a night without vomiting 🙄

Flowersflowers121 · 30/08/2022 22:47

Omgggg same here and it's horrible :(

Mossstitch · 30/08/2022 23:24

My theory on this was the more tired I was the worse the nausea got. Another who felt worse at that time which is unfortunate when you have other children to cook for or work🤢 sorry, no solution but worse point for me was always the 7-9 weeks, hope improves soon💐

I really feel your pain. I lived on toast for weeks because that's all I could stomach. Mine died down around week 19 and then came back at the end of pregnancy. Take it easy and lots of fluid and rest - I massively underestimated how crap I would feel!!! X

Aus84 · 31/08/2022 09:39

Yes nights were awful. I would take Doxylamine and B6 which worked wonders overnight and through the next morning .

I always felt worse on an evening. Eating small amounts of plain food helped. I did feel better 12-14 weeks onwards, probably worst at about 9 weeks. Hope it gets better for you.

Milkand2sugarsplease · 06/09/2022 22:43

Had nausea from straight after lunch right through to bedtime with ds2. It was grim and I couldn't wait for it to end. Not appropriately named at all!

Flowersflowers121 · 06/09/2022 23:39

I'm only 6 weeks right now and it's almost unbearable. It scares me how everyone says weeks 7-9 are the worst because I am not ready for it to get any worse :(((

Greybutterfly · 06/09/2022 23:52

I had this up to you for 18 weeks. Day and night. Constant nibbling helped.

AdoraBell · 06/09/2022 23:55

I had “morning” sickness almost 24hrs. I am sure a man who named it morning sickness had no experience.

I you can’t eat or drink them contact your GP.

PMAmostofthetime · 07/09/2022 03:44

Me too! How many weeks are you now? I've just hit 12 weeks and it's improved slightly so there's hope

PMAmostofthetime · 07/09/2022 04:58

@Barbequebeans64 10 weeks today- still awake- I've given up and got up for a bit. Works certainly going to be fun. Mine come and goes in waves some days I have hardly anything. Going to up my water intake tomorrow and hope that helps x
