Extra active baby after gestational diabetes test

Is this normal? I’m 28+3 today and this morning had my gestational diabetes test, since I drank the drink baby has been SO active it’s crazy! My belly is moving all over the place and he’s getting some real strong digs in too! I’ve read about reduced movement after but nothing on extra movement! Anyone had similar? It’s been 12 hours since I drank it and he has hardly stopped all day

When I had mine, the nurse taking my blood told me that sometimes the drink gets the baby really excited and to expect to feel a lot of movement - think it’s to do with the sugar!

I personally didn’t feel anything different so clearly my baby didn’t even notice haha although I was only 26 weeks with an anterior placenta and had only been feeling movements for a few weeks at that point anyway.

Of course, if you’re really worried you can always call your midwife for some reassurance but hopefully baby has settled down now back to their normal pattern of movement!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
