Fashionable maternity brands

I’m looking for maternity brands that are a bit more chic. I work in fashion/arts, I normally wear basics from Cos/Other Stories etc and wear nice clothes from Nanuska/Molly Goddard/Shrimps/Reformation.

Where can I buy the maternity versions of those sorts of style? I never thoughts I’d make it this far after previous losses so never looked into maternity clothes and now suddenly nothing fits!

(also I’m not rich so my budget is either designer sale or high street brand, the designer clothes I own already we’re gifted on jobs but sadly they don’t do maternity clothes!)

I don’t have an answer but watching with interest.

I'd probably look for maternity basics like vest and jeans / trousers and then trend them up with accessories or loose oversized items.

Depends on when you're due a bit as well. A good maternity coat is worth the investment if you're due in the winter.

Seraphine are stylish, Jojo Maman do decent basics but might not be cool enough!

MargotChateau · 21/08/2022 18:40

Thank you for the suggestions @Tibtab and @Twizbe I’ll check them out.

I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling to find maternity wear. I see women looking stylish on the tube but no idea where they are getting their clothes from 😂

TBH if I didn’t work in fashion/art I’d just be in leggings and T-shirt’s but sadly they aren’t appropriate.

Try Isabella Oliver - I had a few brilliant bits from there.

Well congratulations, @MargotChateau! I wish you a safe and healthy rest of pregnancy and beyond. H&M are great for basics and occasional pieces here and there- online has more than in store. (Thinking back to my last pregnancy, and I live near a major UK city.) They are owned by parent company of COS and I found the quality good overall. Seraphine stuff looks great but I could never afford it. Isobel Oliver same.

I got a few bits off eBay - they're pretty good quality, so wear well.

MargotChateau · 21/08/2022 21:35

Thank you @barneymcgroo and @Piemam for your kind recommendations and congratulations 😊

I’m going to have a look for these brands on eBay/Vinted. At the moment the only clothes I fit that aren’t leggings are two oversized jumpsuits, and they won’t fit for much longer!

Wish there was an online reselling app just for maternity wear as it will all be barely worn and would save so much hassle.

That's a great idea for a website, OP! Maybe a local Facebook marketplace might have some goods? I have no experience, anyone else?

KitKatKit · 21/08/2022 22:35

Beyond Nine.
My child is 2 and I've been wearing their bits since I was 4 months pregnant and still wear them weekly! I have about 8 of their items, literally wouldn't wear anything else (not sponsored by them, bloody wish I was though!).
