I’m just over 30weeks pregnant and on holiday in Italy at the moment. I’ve not given much thought to mozzarella back home as it’s usually pasturised and usually on a pizza so cooked. But of course in Italy a lot of the mozza isn’t pasturised (no caprese salads for me 🥲) but I’ve had a few pizzas and just assumed it was ok because it’s cooked, even if unpasteurised - that’s right isn’t it? I’m in the north of Italy so it’s not the neopolitan style pizzas where the cheese does look quite raw, all the pizzas have been roasting and the cheese well melted.
ive already eaten them so I guess it’s retrospective advice at this point 🙈
