Suddenly 10X more nauseous at 10.5 weeks? Normal??

My morning sickness has suddenly amped up a gear and I’m waking up horribly dizzy and nauseous. This morning I sat up and vommed the second I did so.

Could something be wrong? Pretty sure nausea is meant to start slowing down now?

If you haven't already, I'd call your midwife.

Anyone else? I don’t want to have to bother her if it’s normal

Symptoms will come and go I felt quite sick last week at 10 weeks I actually did not leave the house for 3 days and stayed in my pyjamas the whole time I barely ate. I am 11 weeks now and feel better. It's normal to feel worse some days more than others, thankfully your near the stage it should hopefully calm down a bit soon.

I would also make sure your eating enough before bed even a bowl of porridge, I find it in super hungry in the morning I feel worse

I wonder if the hormones kick up a little before the placenta takes over just to push it over the edge, hope that makes sense.

Same! 11 weeks tomorrow and I’ve felt quite good until today, I was physically sick for the first time. I have put it down to the ups and downs in the weather/temperature because I generally feel awful when it’s been hotter.

I'm about 11.5/12ish weeks pregnant and have had no symptoms until the last couple of days where I've suddenly started retching loads particularly in the morning on my way to work. I'm not actually sick but I'm retching badly all of a sudden. I think it's normal.

When I was pregnant with my DD who is now 11 months, I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms till 10 weeks and between 10weeks and 19weeks was when I got all the expected first trimester symptoms. I was the same, I thought I had gotten away with them and from 12 weeks I was "safe" from the first trimester expected stuff but they hit me from 10weeks. So I wouldn't say it's something to worry about :-). I wasn't really sick but I was very nauseous in the afternoon / evenings and absolutely knackered. Very sore boobs and I could smell everything and I didn't love the smell of most stuff! I ate beige food for 10 weeks from around 10 weeks pregnant and didn't really manage to eat after about 2pm in the afternoon as I was getting afternoon sickness haha I used to have a rumbling tummy because I was hungry but I felt really seasick! Was the weirdest feeling but everything kind of stopped when I got to around 19/20 weeks. Hope this helps!

I remember watching a YouTube video about morning sickness by this American OBGY. They said it's normal for it to fluctuate throughout the first trimester, but if you don't get morning sickness at all by week 9, and then it starts randomly after this, then it might not be morning sickness and you should get checked out if it persists. However, you said you've had nausea before this episode and it's just worsened with actually vomiting now so that sounds okay. Always check with the midwife if it doesn't feel right I guess. Maybe American OBGY's are more interventionist given how healthcare is funded there!

Nausea and sickness is up and down. It’s not a cause for concern. My HG got suddenly worse at 11 weeks and 14 weeks (had to be hospitalised both times) and I’m still sick every few days at 17 weeks and nauseous often. There is no standard pattern, everyone is different and you’re lucky if it starts easing off at 10 weeks!
