I am 36 years old and have a nearly 2 year old daughter who we had no pregnancy problems with. We are now trying for a second child but in the last 5 months I have had two early miscarriages (one at 4 weeks and 1 at 5 weeks). I have managed to get to 6.1 weeks with my current but I then experienced a gush of pink fluid followed by some bleeding (i wouldn't call it heavy or light...just in between) for a couple of hours. I have then been spotting ever since (3 days now). This morning I felt so dreadful that i couldn't stand up for about 20 minutes and ended up on my bathroom floor (but i wouldn't say it was pain - more aching, cold sweats, feeling sick). The previous miscarriages were 6 days of constant heavy bleeding and a bit of cramping. I was wondering if anyone else had ever experienced this?
I have assumed the worst, that i am miscarrying, but I have been to the doctor today who wants to do blood tests and has booked me for a scan next week.
The doctor has also told me, that because i didn't inform the surgery of the pervious miscarriages they couldn't be counted and I can't be referred for help (should this also turn out to be a miscarriage which would take me to 3 recurrent).
:-( logically I am thinking it is just a matter of time before the heavy bleeding starts. Either way, i would just like to know if anyone had experienced anything similar?
