Early pregnancy signs

Hi,
I am on the mini pill but missed 4 pills last week and had unprotected sex quite a few times last week too. On Monday I had the tiniest bit of light bleeding when I wiped but haven’t seen any blood since (implantation??) I also had cramping Monday/Tuesday and felt slightly nauseous and lower back ache today. I don’t get periods so have no idea on ovulation time or when I would next have a period due. Has anyone experienced these early pregnancy signs? Could it be my body reseting after missing some pills? Now I’ve been thinking about it and testing I would quite like it to be positive!

I got pregnant on the pill I missed two in a row and had sex on the second day and I got pregnant, didn’t realise for a while and was at a theme park on the huge rides! He’s fine though, but terrified of huge rides lol. I didn’t really get symptoms expect I was very tried. I didn’t have any spotting but I hadn’t in my other pregnancies. Your spotting could be from a breakdown in the hormones from missing the pills. Also if you got pregnant a week ago when you had sex then you can test now. Use a first response, generally when iv been pregnant and testing early I get a positive around 7-8 days after sex/ovulation. So you can try and test now and just keep testing each morning for a week or so and see what happens

I've had the exact same symptoms, waves of nausea and backache and I got my positive yesterday at 11dpo xx

Thanks for your reply! Were you on the combined or mini pill? Tested this morning on a early response test and there was nothing. Driving myself crazy with googling and looking at threads on here, why are ovulation, period, and pregnancy symptoms all the same?!? 😭😭

@palmerita I’m fine this morning besides some back ache. Sorry if it’s tmi but what day did you conceive if you are 12 dpo now? Congratulations, I hope all goes well 😊

Test again in a few days, first wee of the day. The bleeding could be from your body responding to the pill being reintroduced.

@Carrieonmywaywardsun it could well be, all the symptoms for everything are the same, it’s driving me nuts!

We DTD 3 times during my fertile week so it will have been cycle day 15-16 when I ovulated. 2 weeks ago xx

@palmerita sorry to bother you again. Was it for many days before you tested positive that you had back pain and you felt nauseous? My lower back is starting to get quite uncomfortable and it’s my fourth day of symptoms and tests are negative. Thank you 😊

I had waves of nausea for a couple of days and felt slightly period-y but was still testing negative. On the day I tested positive the backache definitely worsened, had a headache and a few hot flushes. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I remember these exact symptoms with my first. How many dpo are you now? Xx

@palmerita We’ll see in the morning then as I sound very similar, I only have cheap tests at the minute though so not very sensitive. I used a early detection one this morning though, so doubt a cheap one would show anything tomorrow. No idea how many days po, I miss pills quite regularly so it just depends if missing one started ovulation, I haven’t had a proper period since I started the pill 8 years ago so not sure what usual period symptoms are for me. It’s all so confusing!

It's definitely so confusing after coming off the pill! I must have done 4-5 tests leading up and not even a smidge of a positive and then yesterday it was a really clear one! Maybe leave it a couple more days if your symptoms persist then test again using a FRER xxx

I've been on the mini pill for years, and not had a period in them years. As soon as I miss 2 pills I start to get period pains and symptoms. I'm not serially active so it's definitely hormone related. Not saying its not a possibility mind as you've obviously had sex

I think I’ve decided that no matter the outcome i’m coming off of the pill now, really don’t like not knowing whats going on with my body. That’s definitely a good positive!

@MissMaple82 Definitely could be the case, do you bleed when you get these symptoms? I think it’s been so long I don’t remember what symptoms are typical for me to have. So confusing!

Hey ladies, I’m currently day 5 DPO currently experiencing side effects

cramping
back ache
fuller feeling boobs
slight nausea
dizziness

is this to early to be feeling symptoms? First time trying to convince so this is all pretty new to me

@chanls yes it’s too early. Implantation happens between 6-12 dpo, then takes another few days for hcg to rise enough to be picked up on a test. Hcg also causes the pregnancy symptoms so if it was strong enough to cause symptoms it would also show on a test. Really the earliest to expect a positive (and symptoms) is around 10dpo. Try not to symptom spot as you will drive yourself mad and often set yourself up for disappointment.
