So nervous for my 20 week scan 😩

Hello 👋🏻 I am almost 16 weeks pregnant and I’m so scared about my 20 weeks scan!!

I was the same for my 12 week scan, and everything was fine, and I thought I’d chill out after that, and I have been until the last couple of days and it’s getting closer. I know they look for abnormalities and health issues. My partners mother has AF and angina and his sister had early on set heart disease. He seems okay, but this is worrying me that the baby will have congenital heart disease. I am not sure if it’s genetic or not. My midwife knows and she said she wasn’t sure if it’s genetic or not.

Has anyone been through this and everything has gone well and the baby is fine? I just feel like I’m going to be scared until the baby is born 🙈🙈 thanks I’m advance 💗 xx

The scan will be very detailed so will reassure you. Your partner is able to come to the scan again so provides that encouragement.
