So I’ve already been to the doctors twice. Feel like I should start with that. I’m 11+2 and had standard sickness since the start really. This is my second pregnancy and I was the same with my first. But last week I started needing to be sick more frequently and as of Monday night this week I started getting this horrific stomach pain that spread all around my waist, down my belly and down my lower back. It would last a good few hours; sometimes even half a day before it would go away. Paracetamol did nothing. I then ended up with a good few days of severe diarrhoea.

By this point I’d already been to the doctors once, was given some anti sickness tablets and signed of work for a week to rest. Now the sickness has improved, im not running to the toilet as much but when I do go it’s still not pleasant, but this pain is killing me off. I can’t sleep with it, can hardly stand up straight. It’s agony. I rang the doctors again this morning who gave me some antacids for a potential inflamed stomach and some cocodamol for the pain but even that is still doing nothing!

Im just here for any bits of advice or guidance from anyone with similar experience or any ideas for what might sooth it. I’ve just had a warm bath and it’s still agony all across my belly and lower back. I need something to help it stop! TIA

This isn't normal. I think you should go back to the GP.

Go the the GP this afternoon or call 111 or go to A n E.

If I was in your position I’d be going to A&E. This doesn’t sound right and your GP is fobbing you off. You can have an appendicitis in pregnancy so it’s worth getting checked out.

I went back to the doctors around 3pm and got checked by a different doctor to again just be told it’s most likely the bug I’ve had and it’ll hopefully start calming down soon! She even felt around my tummy and commented on how tender it all was etc and my blood pressure was a bit low but said there was no stronger pain killers I could have, which is fair enough, but she could see how much pain this is causing me. It’s very frustrating. If the tablets still continue to do nothing tomorrow I’ll go to A&E. Thanks guys
