Hi.
I hope someone can share a similar story or at least give me some advice.
I had a D&C end April this year (I did have another over 10 years ago) and my first period returned end of May. I’ve had 3 periods in total since but the last 2 have been a light flow, barely covering a sanitary towel and brown no red. This month I’ve had intense lower abdomen pain 3-4 days leading up to AF arriving.

is it normal for this to happen following a d&c, and take a while for body to return to normal. We have been TTC actively since but no luck.

should I be concerned?

Hi, have you conceived? I also had a d and c last month and I am having a lighter periods same as you described. Could you please tell me what had happened to you regarding periods. Was that bcs of Asherman’s syndrome?

Hi @Ghuna I had surgical management last month too and should be starting my period around now but have only had a bit of light brown discharge. Is it OK if I watch the thread with you too?

I’m trying to reassure myself that the surgeon said the procedure is very very gentle (and she mentioned they had a new version/implement now which is even gentler than before) and that Asherman’s is very rare, so it could just be one of those things. Hopefully someone will be able to tell us x

Yes, I hope the same.

Hi @Ghuna how are things for you today? My period has gone from ‘is that it?’ to ‘the Shining’ in about 24-36 hours which is in some ways a relief. Hope things are going ok for you and you get some more advice soon x
