Heartbeat fast at 12 week scan

Hi! I just had a dating scan, I’m a little before 12 weeks and the baby looked great - very relieved and happy!
The sonographer said that the heartbeat was a little fast at 178 bpm and being the worrier that I am, I’m nervous about that!
Did anyone else have that kind of heart rate at 12 weeks?

I didn't have that checked with either of my babies before 12 weeks (waited until the midwife checked) but that figure sounds fine. May be a little higher than some but it's if it's around 200 then it may be a issue

Well since you were a little before 12weeks, the heartbeat would logically be a little fast for a 12 week scan.

The heart rate slows as the baby grows.
