Fundal height measurement at 25 weeks?

Hey guys, so I went to triage yesterday for spotting and they measured my tummy which was 24cm. I don’t think the midwife measured it properly at all though but it was only 1cm less than 25cm and they requested for me to have a growth scan which is on Tuesday? I thought it was only if the measurement is like 3cm off, then they do a growth scan?
I have so many appointments these days! Today is my midwife appointment where my midwife will measure my bump again. Tomorrow is my gestational diabetes test. Monday is my prem prevention appointment and Tuesday is my growth scan. Wow!

I was measured 1cm under at my 28 week appointment and was referred for a growth scan so I think it’s pretty standard. All was fine on the scan and was nice to see baby again. Sounds like you have a busy week coming up!

It does sound pretty drastic to me - I thought it was the 2-3cm rule as well.

My trust doesn't even do fundal height measurements cause the research behind it is so poor and they said it just ends up worrying mothers for no reason. If that helps at all!

I thought it was 2cm out that they worried about. The positive is that you get to see baby on scan.

I think it’s also to do with your previous measurements too…

so if you’ve always measured 1cm behind then that’s fine, but if you were 2cm ahead last time, then the drop off would be worrying.

there is a chart in the front of my notes and the midwife marks the measurements so you can see how it looks

The same thing happened to me recently when I measured 1cm out. After the scan they said the midwife shouldn’t have sent me for such a small measurement and seeing as I had a scheduled growth scan anyway. When I went back for my scheduled growth scan they wouldn’t do it as their policy is not to scan until 14 days have passed since the last one. It might be best for you to call and check your scheduled growth scan will go ahead? I’m not sure if the 14 day policy is individual to each hospital but I wish I’d known in advance to save a trip

Just wanted to see how you’re getting on now you’re further into your pregnancy? My fundal measurement was done today and was Measured as 30cms (I am 32 weeks) and I can’t help but feel
worried.
