Pains and craps at six weeks

Hey, just looking for some advice.

I'm around six weeks pregnant and getting some different pains. I'm getting period like cramps as well as sudden sharp lower side abdominal pains, and general pains on the left side of my abdomen. None of them are excruciating, but I'm not sure if I should be worried and have them checked or not?

I had the same when I was between 5-8 weeks. I heard its completely normal, and I'm now 22 weeks and all is well. I remember how worrying it was though!

I would contact EPAU tbh, it could be nothing but it could be an ectopic in which case you need to know urgently.

I’ve got everything crossed that you have a safe, healthy pregnancy Flowers

I had the same with all my pregnancies between say 6 and 9/10 weeks. Lots of things are moving around and stretching!

I literally phoned my midwife for this today. I'm 6 weeks 4 days and my pains are constant. It's either cramping right across my lower tummy or it's all sharp pain on my right side. They said take paracetamol and it will just be stretching pains etc and only to call back if I begin to bleed. I've previously miscarried but didn't have pains like this so hoping it's just body getting ready for it's new lodger xx

I had pain, cramps and craps! I was told these pains are normal and because the body is getting used to growing a baby. If you're worried though, please contact your medical team.

EPU don't do nothing they will say it is normal. Unless your bleeding don't bother call them. Or you worried it's ectopic they might scan you.

All I am havng is cramps, lower back pain. I had a bad cramp on right side and was very worried but had two scans..They said last scan fine. They won't scan kind of annoyed but it's life.

Call the midwife she might be a bit more helpful.

How are you doing today?
I had mild-medium cramps like menstrual cramps from my period due date, they got worse at 5 weeks. I called the GP because NHS website said to do so if they weren't going away after moving / eating/passing wind. GP sent me to A&E who sent me to EPAGU for a scan - they want to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.
