As you can tell from the title, that's the news we got today. After our growth scan we went to the maternity ward and I was told we would have to wait for a doctor to come and speak with us. After 10 minutes the midwife came out, discussed my options and basically said they don't have a doctor or consultant and it could take weeks to see one. My options were getting further tests for Diabetes-which will now happen this week and another scan at 38 weeks where if my fluid is still high we will need to go to the hospital I plan to give birth. None of the information was reassuring and the midwife made it clear this was to cover her ass, nothing mentioned about mine or my babs health.

This was all discussed in the hallway of the unit which was also bizzare. I'm sure there are many who have been in this position but I'm now relying on Google for my information about this!

Side note: Because I have to test everyday for diabetes, I was thinking of taking my maternity a week earlier than planned as I probably won't be focused on work, this will take me up to 37 weeks as opposed to 38. It shouldn't be a hard decision to make but that extra weeks wages means alot to me lol! Plus if there was a chance of being induced early I'd have atleast a week or two to mentally prepare.

Xx
