How often do you see Midwife?

It's been 15 years since I was last pregnant.
I had gone to EPU because I think I freaked out thinking my pregnancy could be ectopic. But everything is fine and was told to contact midwife team.
Can you tell me often you see midwife and what happens next? I am 7 weeks but still feel very anxious at times.
I know when you have the baby that's all changed they don't come out to you no more.
What changed to 15 years ago?

Here's a good link to the nhs appointments you should get. Some of them only apply if it is your first baby.

Midwife should come out to see you a couple of times at the very least in the first 2 weeks to check you and baby and then you'll be discharged.

They don't come out after birth anymore? I had my son in 2019 and had a midwife come to my home 2 days after the birth of my DS.

I see the midwife every 4 weeks from 12 weeks and also have scans and consultant every 4 weeks as I'm having DCDA twins.

With my son I still saw the midwife every month after 12 weeks x

Booking in appt happened at 10 weeks where they ask a lot of questions, test urine and do blood tests. I had my FBC done at 10 weeks but my screening blood tests were not until after my 12 week scans.

I believe you have another FBC to check iron levels especially at 28 weeks. I'll have FBC done at 20 weeks, 28 weeks and 32 weeks and 36 weeks if I carry for that long 🤞🏼 x

Thanks so much for all your advice.

I think I have forgot all of the pregnancy all I remember is scans. I remember having having lucozade test. Do they still do it? How many months into pregnancy?

The Gestational Diabetes test is usually around 28 weeks. I had to have a thick glucose drink 🤮 definitely wasn't lucozade, would've been nicer if it was though!

But as I had GD in my first pregnancy I now have a GD test at 16 weeks and if that comes back that I don't have it I'll have another one at 28 weeks.
