2nd baby incoming

Hi all,

I am 30 weeks pregnant / 31 weeks Thursday with my 2nd baby. I have a few questions advice tips!

1. I live in Kent and usually travel to London 1 day every other week to the office we have a new girl who I am training for my job while I am on maternity, realistically I want today to be my last day in the office as I travel to London in this heat and it's a long day when your pregnant 😂 do you think my employer will be ok with it? I have said from august I will not be travelling and they were fine as no one is really based in the office anyway. The new girl I have been remotely teaching her on teams anyway. She is due to go on hols next week so only got this week and potentially Monday if I cancel my A/L

1. I was 10 days early with my first and was a quick easy labour. This baby is currently predicted weighing 3lb 14oz at 29 weeks plus 5. So I think he will potentially be a big boy and could come early. Has anyones second come early after having their first early? Thanks all!

1 why would you cancel your booked leave - particularly for a day that's forecast to be 35 degrees...

If your employee is not ok with it they will say so

2 my 1st was 17 days early, my 2nd only 1 day early but they come when they are ready - you can't predict it...

Remember, in theory you could already be on mat leave now - your employer would have to cope if baby comes early and you have to start your leave.

As you get older you'll come to realise that you get no thanks for putting work ahead of your health/family ...
