Hello,

Tested positive today for covid (2nd time 🙄). I'm 14+2 and since my dating scan have been prescribed 150mg of dissolvable aspirin to take at night due to being pregnant with twins.

I reported to the hospital midwives today that I have tested positive but completely forgot to ask about aspirin if I should carry it on or not.
Been trying to get back through to maternity triage but no luck.

Did anyone else get prescribed aspirin and had covid when pregnant and continued to take the aspirin?

I'm assuming I should. Will keep trying to call but wasn't sure if anyone had been in a similar situation.

I am currently 28 weeks and have taken 150mg of aspirin daily since i found out I was pregnant (also take vitamin d, higher dose folic acid and was on progesterone until 16 weeks). I caught covid when I was around 16 weeks and was told to just carry on taking everything as normal. (I was due to stop the progesterone at this point anyway, it wasn't related to getting covid.)

There was a lady with covid in my local hospital maternity assessment unit who was being put on injectable blood thinners for 10 days due to covid. I had it around around same gestation as you and just carried on with the aspirin prescribed.

They did say about the injection but checked and said I wasn't in need of it x

Covid can make your blood ‘sticky’. At one point aspirin was being trialled in covid treatment. It won’t do anything negative
