TTC and age gaps between children

Hi all,

I am TTC with my hubby. We have been trying for around 14 months now. I have a 4 year old daughter who was conceived quickly.

I have had blood tests, every thing is normal and awaiting for a fertility apt, but not holding my breath for it as I am aware of the waiting lists.

What are people's age gaps between children, and has anyone had anything similar with TTC baby 2?

Thank you for reading x

We have been trying since ds1 was born wanted kids close together. He’s five next month makes me v anxious. I think after 6 years your children will have 2 very different lives and interests

This sounds really similar to me, my little one is almost 3 and was conceived super quickly but when we started trying for baby 2 it took us 12 months to conceive. All my tests were fine too. I had the specialist fertility appointment where I was basically told that as all my tests were fine, the only thing left to do was a hycosy / HSG (which the waiting list for was years so they advised to go private) and after that I'd be on my own anyway as either way next step was IVF and I wouldn't be eligible for any NHS funding as I already have a child. I went privately for the hycosy and fell pregnant immediately. So I would recommend that and maybe you'll have a better doctor but don't hold out much hope for the fertility specialist. Obviously can't comment on how I find the age gap but there will be 3 years and 3 months between mine. Best of luck, it's not easy x
