6 weeks pregnant and so bloated

I'm only 6 weeks and my bloating is crazy..is this normal? I had gastric bypass surgery 11 months ago and lost 5 stone and swear I feel like I've gained that all back. Sound so silly but is it normal to be this bloated at six weeks?

It’s totally normal and one of the worst parts of pregnancy in my experience. I had to buy new clothes for work at 5/6 weeks pregnant as nothing fit over my big bloated belly. You will be relieved to know that it does pass - in time to make way for the real baby belly. 🙂

I'm quite stressed with my pregnancy for other reasons. But can confirm everything that was said. I had nights when I couldn't even sleep because of the discomfort so I did my research. Turns out it's normal.

I've been very bloated. Already not putting on some jeans because by the afternoon they're uncomfortably tight. Presumably it's normal... this is my first.

Thank you everyone. Honestly so glad I'm not alone. I Honestly thought I was doing something wrong. Also due to my surgery I can't over eat but was starting to think I was eating to much. Can't wait till this passes lol. I have a 6 year old son and don't remember ever being this bloated.

Ah, the bloat! I looked like I was 6 months pregnant at 6 weeks.

I'm 10 weeks now and nowhere near as bloated.

Hopefully it will pass for you as the weeks go on.
