Brown Blood! 7 weeks pregnant please help

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and really need advise I went to the hospital when I was 5 weeks+ 7 because started getting brown spotting. Anyway a week later it’s started again and I’ve now had it for almost 3 days. I’ll attach photos. The first time i had it for a day & I went to the hospital and had a scan, only could see sac etc but everything was okay. Now I’ve started getting this brown blood but it’s more when I go to the toilet has anyone had this? Is this normal? I can’t help but worry

I had brown blood at 14 weeks, now 25! Brown blood generally means old blood. I'm not sure if the cause but it can be to do with all the hormones and changes your cervix is going through at the moment. As always if you're worried, call the relevant person. But if you've not had any pain or anything and just spotting (I also had it when I went to the loo) then I wouldn't be too worried.

In the interest of providing both sides of a topic, this was the start of my early loss between 6 and 7 weeks. I kept reading about brown blood being old blood and not to worry. Unfortunately for me it changed to red with clots after a few days. No pain at all.

Me too! I’ve decided come to the early pregnancy unit. It’s stopped for the minute but it just comes back after a few wees did you find yours was constant? X

Brown like that is normally ok op. I had the same. Good you are being checked out though, and I hope all is well.

Thank you I’m here now, I hope everything will be okay I’m worrying because I had it a week or so ago and now I’ve had it for 3 days x

How long was you getting brown before the red clots?

Wednesday and Thursday brown, Friday bright red, carried on then for several days. No pain.

Was it like brown period or was it just when you went to the toilet etc?

It was just on a pantyliner

Hello! I went to the hospital and they said it looks like a miscarriage but they said this the first time I went there when I was 5 weeks and scan looked okay, they looked and my cervix and is closed and then started saying about possible old blood. It’s gone abit lighter now too I’m not as heavy as I was yesterday or this morning. He said only way is to have a scan so check for heart beat so I’m going for a private scan tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything is okay I’m thinking positive! I will update you all xx

They really shouldn't be suggesting miscarriage if they haven't scanned you and cervix are closed that just induces unnecessary worry. I really hope your scan goes well today

I did think this, I hope so too! I’ve been having the blood this morning too but lightens or doesn’t happen when I wipe during the day

When I suffered my MC last year it was bright red blood with large clots and tissue. Not brown so fingers crossed everything is ok for you. What time is your scan

Baby’s fine perfect heart beat xxx I’m 7 weeks and 3 days still having brown blood from Friday though so not sure where its coming from x

Look up subchorionic hematoma - ask them to check if it could be this.

I had very heavy bleeding throughout my first pregnancy and this was the cause. DS was absolutely fine but having the information helped.
