33 weeks, stitch like pain on left side?

Hi!

I was wondering if this has maybe happened to anyone else.

I’m 33 weeks and over the past couple of days have been getting a pain on my left side up near my belly button that feels like a stitch. It’s intermittent, mostly when baby kicks there or if I move sharply, but also came on last night when I was trying to sleep on that side.

Does anyone know what this might be? Obviously if it gets worse or comes on and doesn’t go away I will contact my midwife, but just wanted to ask here in the meantime.

Sounds a bit like round ligament pains? I’ve started to get these more now (28 weeks) as bump gets bigger. Usually if I stand up too quickly, turn over in bed or I am stood/sat at an awkward angle.

I'm 34 weeks OP and having exactly the same pains! I'm on my third pregnancy so I recognise the feeling. When I get them, I stop, breathe through it and massage the area if I can/if it's appropriate. It's very normal, it's your muscles/ligaments relaxing to let your baby out. Not long to go now!! Good luck x
