Hi all,

I'm due to go on holiday this week, but have only just (Friday afternoon!!) realised that I havent checked with my midwife if I'm ok to fly with placenta praevia.

Im 24w, it was discovered during the 20w scan and apparently placenta is completely covering the cervix. I havent had any bleeding, but was advised to avoid sex and strenuous activities.

Anyone had experience with this, have you been ok to fly/travel? Did you get extra travel insurance? It's only a short 3h flight.

Thanks 💐

I was allowed to fly until 32 weeks. But I would call your GP/midwife to check. I wasn't told to avoid sex or strenuous activities.

I would ask your doctor. I had p previa and gave birth at 27 weeks.

I had that with my ds and my consultant would not allow me to fly ag 24 weeks.
