Waters broken early

Hi, I'm currently 36 weeks 3 days pregnant and my waters have broken (yesterday gallons of the stuff). I'm at hospital hospital they have confirmed it as SROM and want me over night for monitoring and will send me home tomorrow then won't induce me until I'm 37 weeks.

Although it's only a few days away I'm so anxious that something will happen over the weekend and I won't know that the baby is in distress. Should I be pushing for them to induce sooner?

I'm just looking for similar experiences really or whether this seems a sensible plan of action from hospital.

Morning everyone. Thanks for all your comments and experiences.

The Dr has been around this morning (different Dr to yesterday) and she has said that she will bring the induction forward to today. So I'll be added to the list and wait and see how long!

Good luck!! If having induction have epidural if you can and want- they will try and talk you out of it as it 'slows down labour' I had mine 10 mins after induction drip as no sign of labour, didn't need drip upping at all as was fully dialated after the 4 hour window and ready to push. I won't lie I can't remember the majority of my labour/birth but can remember I wasn't in pain 😂. You can do this!! Best thing in the world is meeting that little one at the end! Xx
