Early pregnancy cramping

Yesterday at 13dpo I got a bfp!
I had been experiencing mild cramping for a few days. It’s not like period cramps, more a sharpish pulling sensation and only happens every now and then for a short period of time.
not sure if I should be worried or if I’m just overthinking? Has anyone else experienced the same?

It'll be
Implantation pains, you may get a little bleeding too, try to enjoy the changes, but remember they often feel like period type pains

Congratulations too by the way! 🤩

I'm on edge now thou has have had 4 miscarriages I'm have abit of cramping now to on and off but hoping it's just everything stretching in there. Hh pregnancy.

I had this for weeks in my third pregnancy and was really worried. I thought it was because I was an older mum and would naturally miscarry. DD is 18 now! Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy.

@custardbear
Can I ask you I'm nearly ten weeks and cramping on and off after 4 miscarriages I'm hoping this is normal at this stage and it's just everything stretching in there.

Blughbablugh · 02/06/2022 18:45

I had this with all of my pregnancies. After my first it was one of the tell tale signs I was pregnant. All normal and is just your uterus stretching.

bbqhulahoop · 02/06/2022 18:46

Completely normal! I know it's not what you want to hear but nothing could be done at this point even if it was worrying pain so try to relax and enjoy as much as you can. The early days when only you and your partner know are SO special

EmzH93 · 02/06/2022 19:11

Thanks for all of the replies! Really appreciate it as I didn’t experience this with my first
pregnancy

@EmzH93 I am 13DPO today and got my BFP today. I have cramping too (didn't have this with DD1) so also panicking a bit. I've been Google mad and everything says don't panic as it's perfectly normal for some people to have this xx

I'm not a doctor, but I'm quite up on the subject as a scientist but also had lots of miscarriages. You'll feel all sorts of niggles that worry you, however your growing baby and uterus does cause some discomfort. The placenta starts growing, and vili embed into the side of the uterus so it can support the baby, ligaments around the uterus also stretch as it's getting bigger (watch out for the ones that feel like a dagger - those scared me! It they're normal)
Good luck everyone, it's scary but discomfort is normal

I’m Google mad too, it’s like I just can’t help myself. Going to try and stay away from it if I can. Got an appointment with the midwife on 21st so fingers crossed everything goes well! Congratulations on your bfp 🥰

@custardbear
Thank you its not Al day or everyday, got another scan on Monday where I should be 10+2 so hoping little bean is still growing away in there. But I'm also on progesterone and I have read they can cause some cramping aswell.
