Had my 20 week scan today and everything looked ok other than short femur length measuring at 27.7 Has anyone had any experience of this and what was the outcome? I have been invited for another scan in 2 weeks time to check again 😥 so worried.

Yes my little twins femurs were so small they didn't make the chart at all. But she was generally in proportion in terms of some of the ratios they look at. Regular growth scans showed steady growth so they decided she was just doing her thing in there. She was born small but perfect

@breatheintheamazing thank you for your reply! That is positive - hopefully she just has little legs and it's good that they do keep an eye on these things with growth scans!

Hi , my baby had short femur and humerus. I'll put the link for the thread below. We were so worried but turns out it was a placental issue. He was born early but he is perfect. Try not to worry

We had this too (can’t remember what the measurement was, sorry) Everything turned out great.

Hi I've had a 28 week scan and now sayin my baby has short femur length which is at 47.7mm I've had a screnning for down syndrome done at 13 weeks and classed as low risk. The head and body are measuring fine my bump is very small . Should I be worried ??

I had this too on 20 week scan, showed around 25th. At the 36 week scan it was 75th.
They have lots of time to grow!

Ladies i wouldn't worry to much. I had the same issue with my son. He turned out perfect..

Only issue I had at the growth scan was I had my last one on 30th Nov and rhey measured him at 6lbs12oz... I then had my son 2 weeks later weighing a heavy 9lbs 6oz.

Now I'm pregnant with my 4th baby... I have to have growth scan with this lil one too

One of mine measured off the scale big for head, short femur, top of scale middle…I remember crying when I got home thinking there was something wrong.

All was fine! Have to size up in hats but tall and slim even at birth.
