I'm 22 wks + 2 and currently on holiday. I woke up to a pool of blood yesterday and then passed a large clot the size of my palm shortly after. I've been admitted to hospital but still none the wiser as to what is happening and why. My cervix is closed and I've been given medication to help stop the bleeding. It appears to have decreased but I'm still spotting. Has anybody been through anything similar?

Massive congratulations @handbagsandholidays - so pleased to hear that he got here safely and that you're both doing well.

Thank you all for your kind wishes and words of strength. I genuinely appreciate each message I've read and the ones who have followed my journey throughout.

I feel we have completed one rollercoaster and started another as our NICU journey has begun. We are now on day 5 of little Z's life and he is doing really well. He struggles with breathing on his own so is on high flow with varied oxygen levels throughout the day. He generally requires more oxygen at night but is making progress in the right direction.

I am expressing milk for him which is new to me as I chose to formula feed quite early on with my older son. He's starting to tolerate feeds and taking approx 5ml every 3 hours which is a world away from where we were at. Each day is a blessing and one step closer to where we want to be.

@summerlovinvibes Whilst we may be strangers in person, you underestimate the effect of kind and caring words from online acquaintances can have during dark days. I feel so touched that you've followed my journey and I'm thankful for your words of support 😘
