Blood pressure creeping up

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my second. My blood pressure has been steadily rising, it was always around 90/60, then 110/70 and in this last week I'm often getting 130/75. I know this is well within normal but is higher than what I'm used to.

I had preeclampsia in my first pregnancy and have low Papp a in this pregnancy so am at higher risk for preeclampsia.

I have no other symptoms, no protein in urine, no headache. Slight swelling in lower legs but nothing unexpected.

Is it normal for blood pressure to be a bit higher towards the third trimester? Or has anyone experienced this and it's been the first signs of preeclampsia starting?

Thanks in advance Smile

@Fipfop Can I please ask how this turned out for you? I'm experiencing the same just now.

Thank you!

It turned out fine to a certain extent! While I was pregnant it never got higher than that 130/80. Midwives weren't concerned at all. I did end up with some heart and blood pressure issues post partum that is suspected could have been post partum preeclampsia but I still didn't have protein in urine so nothing was diagnosed.

Try not to worry unless the midwives are worried or you're getting other signs. Hope everything goes well!
