12 weeks -orgasm then brown discharge after

So Monday we had some foreplay and I had an orgasm. (No penetration) I wiped after and had v light pink discharge. For 1 day after I had v pale brown discharge. Which then went. I had an upset tummy this morning and this came out... any ideas ???
I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and now feel very anxious. I am not in any pain. But not v nice to see. Anyone had this before?

Hope your scan went well! I have had repeated bouts of ‘spotting’, ranging from light pink to bright red period colour with clots in. First time was after 12 week scan (she was a bit rough with me!) and then twice since at about 15 and 18 weeks. At 15 weeks they said they couldn’t see a cause on scan but this week at 18 they performed an internal and said that I have cervical ectropion which is causing the bleeding (cluster of delicate cells formed on cervix which bleed when irritated). Apparently normal and non-harmful but frustrating nonetheless. Hoping everything was well at your scan and if it happens again under the same circumstances maybe ask if they can check for ectropion to put your mind at rest?

Hey thanks for response. Funnily enough if happened last week exactly at 16 weeks for 2 days. I had been doing some squats the day before ( could have been that?! ) I called the midwife and they said it could be the thing you mentioned. But didn't follow up. Just said I can come in for a heartbeat check. I had a scan though and all was well. Next time I may ask to check. Its just so horrible to see and raises anxiety. Although my husband said it seems to happen around every 4 weeks, when period due ! How many weeks are you now . X

Glad everything went well at your scan :) They told me heavy exercise might also cause it so I suppose it depends how much exertion you put into your squats (I’m a couch potato so I wouldn’t be trying anything too taxing haha!) Fingers crossed I haven’t had any since - although to be perfectly honest I haven’t attempted any kind of physical intimacy after they told me what it was as it is so worrying to see all the blood I just haven’t felt like it. Just over 22 weeks now :)

Glad all is well. I avoided orgasms at that stage as they gave me bad period like cramps afterwards and I had spotting once. It settled down, but it’s definitely a thing.
