Backache at 4weeks 6 days pregnant

Hi everyone,
Im just wondering if anyone had a similar experience?
im 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant, and I’ve got noticeable back pain. It’s not severe or sharp but not dull and it comes and goes, left side then right, can be lower tailbone or either bum cheek. If I stretch or lie down I can achieve temporary relief from it. I’ve got sore boobs on and off, gas and am extremely tired on some days (like yesterday I slept almost all day). I’ve had little pinches and twinges around my tummy for the last couple of weeks nothing I felt to worry about.
I am so nervous about this pregnancy as I lost my last one (missed miscarriage) at around 6 weeks, that was 4 months ago. last time I was seriously constipated but otherwise fine and only experienced dull back ache and then a lot of bleeding a few days later, and then an inconclusive scan, and then another confirming blighted ovum and then a 3 week wait until my conservatively managed miscarriage resolved itself. This was very painful. Anyway I’m wondering if I should be worried, I don’t know what to do. Thank you for all your suggestions and for even reading my message

Sorry to hear you are worried, I am also pregnant after miscarriage and am constantly symptom spotting too. Tiredness is very normal in early pregnancy and so are the odd aches and twinges. Nothing you can do really but wait and see, still very early days. I've had 2 MMC but discovered at the 12 week scans so I'm anxious about getting all the way there again to find I'd misscarried much earlier. The first 12 weeks are very hard when it comes to symptom spotting. Hope everything goes well for you.

sophxx1 · 15/05/2022 15:11

Are you able to get an early scan due to mmc?
I am 5+3 and doctor asked me to call next week to get an early scan to check me out as I've had the same symptoms plus spotting.

Lookingonthebrightside2022 · 17/05/2022 02:18

Thank you for your kind reply’s. I’ve been lucky to get a scan booked in much later today so let’s hope it’s good news. However after a rough day of backache and sore boobs yesterday now I’ve woken up (1am)with no symptoms whatsoever. I’m really at my wits end now! I felt like my symptoms were peeking yesterday (like inexplicably high) and now I’ve suddenly crashed. However no cramping or bleeding, although for me this does not provide much comfort as my last miscarriage considered missed miscarriage with bleeding only....which stopped and started no pain it resolved itself after 3 weeks

@Lookingonthebrightside2022 good luck with your scan later, I had a miscarriage from my second ivf at 6w and when I got pregnant again from my 5th ivf the anxiety of another loss was very real. That was 20 years ago and I've had four other children since then, including twins, all ivf apart from the my last baby. What I learnt is there is nothing you can do to stop it happening if it's going to happen, the chances are you won't miscarry again but worrying won't change the outcome. I know it's hard but it is possible to change your mindset. You're pregnant again which is great news. Most women who can't have children never get pregnant. I'm going to check in later to see how you get on

Lookingonthebrightside2022 · 17/05/2022 10:33

@MissSmiley Thank you for sharing your lovely story. It has made me smile. And thank you for your kind words. My boss has agreed to let me go an hour early today. They didn’t even ask me what the appointment was for, I’m so glad they spared me the embarrassment. They were also great a few months ago with my last miscarriage. So I will get back to you a bit later. It is indeed very nice to have someone to talk to x

Hi, I’m on the bus after the scan appointment. My pregnancy is progressing normally, there was even a tiny fetus. At 5 weeks and 2 days there’s no heartbeat yet but what can be seen is very good news. Thanks for all the luck and support it has really made a difference. I will have another scan in 2 weeks so will be sure to update you all. @ZooMount @sophxx1 good luck with your own pregnancies ladies, I hope you will update on what will hopefully be your good news too.
xxxxxxxxxx

@Lookingonthebrightside2022 that is excellent news! Congratulations ❤️
Can I also ask, as I am going for a early scan on Thursday. Do they try an ultrasound first as standard then an internal? I'm just not sure how to prepare and feeling so nervous xxx

Lookingonthebrightside2022 · 17/05/2022 21:38

@sophxx1 no they just asked me when my LMP was and then asked my permission to give me an internal ultrasound. I guess they don’t go straight to the other type of scan because there would be no point. I only got my appointment yesterday so I did not ‘prepare’ in any special way at alI, I went straight after work today, not the nicest but It was a necessity. I hope your backache subsides, I think you said you had same symptoms as me. My back is pretty much fine now but I got pains in the front and the breast pain has subsided. Sometimes I get numbness in my hands. I do hope you are not too nervous. If you get that way I’m always here to talk. Xxx

@Lookingonthebrightside2022 thank you for your kind reply ❤️

My pains have subsided and I don't have any symptoms apart from the odd fleeting moment of nausea! Hoping some symptoms come back to reassure me 😂

I will report back on Thursday afternoon xxx

sophxx1 · 19/05/2022 14:29

@Lookingonthebrightside2022 I am being classed as pregnancy unknown location as nothing could be seen but I am still testing positive.

I am obviously scared and sad, but I am back for another blood test on Saturday to compare my HCG levels 🙏🏻 x

Lookingonthebrightside2022 · 19/05/2022 16:34

@sophxx1 im scared with you. That is not what you needed to hear. Do you mean they didn’t see any sign of pregnancy at all? Let’s hope that Saturdays appointment brings you closer to the truth. Im praying for you. Please follow up with us then?..Honestly in always here to talk.

Me myself I thought I was in the clear but today I had some very light brown spotting and arm and shoulder pain to boot. Shoulder pain could signal an issue. So it just proves that no one is safe or at least it seem. Sending lots of love x

@Lookingonthebrightside2022 no sign at all. Apart from the positive urine test. Only time will tell ❤️

Ah I'm sorry to hear that, have you contacted your early pregnancy unit to see if they are able to offer any a reassurance? Such a difficult time for everyone 😔

Lookingonthebrightside2022 · 19/05/2022 18:39

@sophxx1 i will see how it goes tomorrow. I’ve just had a scan and everything seemed fine. I’m going to take it but by bit, I will definitely get in touch if I have any more concerns.

@sophxx1 I hope all goes well for you. It is challenging at the moment I agree, lots of ups and downs
