Repeated CTG for reduced movements, worried

Hi all.

I'm currently 32+4 with my second baby. I noticed he'd been a little quiet this morning (I'd felt him move a couple of times but nothing like normal) so went up to hospital. I'd been in before for the same reason a few weeks ago and passed the CTG within 20 minutes, but this time around I was on for over an hour before the machine was happy. I only actually felt him move twice the whole time.

The readout said his heart rate is absolutely fine but he is indeed a bit quiet on the movement front so I've got to come back tomorrow for another CTG.

They also picked up ++ protein in my urine so suspect I have a UTI. Blood pressure was fine. I am currently suffering from quite a bad cough/cold at the moment (not COVID, just plague DD has picked up from nursery!) but not sure if this would affect it?

I am having regular growth scans anyway because my first baby was small for gestational age. This time baby is measuring quite big (90th + percentile for all measurements). My last scan was on Thursday and he didn't move much at all during that either.

I'm trying not to worry (surely they wouldn't let me go home if they were that concerned?) but of course I AM worrying!

Did anyone else have this? What was the outcome?

Thank you 😊

OP what exactly is your question? 🙂 There are multiple threads on reduced movements, one actually just a couple above this one currently. There are also several recent threads on UTIs in pregnancy. Maybe you would find info on those threads?
