Hey everyone, I'm not sure why I'm even posting this to be honest but I feel like I'm going out of my mind 😓 I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have had consistent cramping from the get go. I wasn't too concerned about this as I thought it was just the uterus stretching, but I was sent to epu for an early scan the other day due to brown bleeding. I saw a sac and tiny bean so that's positive, but I feel like I'm just waiting for the bleeding to start again and the cramps keep returning which doesn't help matters 😔 has anyone experienced anything similar? 🌻

Hi

I didn't experience the cramping or bleeding but have had bad early pregnancy anxiety.

I was pregnant for the second time last year and learnt in December (10weeks) I had miscarried. That led to a lot of anxiety now I am pregnant again.

What I'd say ref bleeding and cramping is they can be both a reason to worry and nothing at all. It's impossible to know without having more checks. The fact they have scanned you and seen a sac and a baby is great. You sound like you're almost at the point a heartbeat should be detectable so if you can afford a private scan and think it would put your mind at rest I'd recommend one of those.

If you're experiencing anxiety surrounding the pregnancy anyway please tell your community midwife. Mine has been a great source of support and very kind. It has really helped.

I hope it all turns out to be nothing and you're being extra sensitive to your body - it's going through a lot and it's normal to be a bit worried but definitely seek support when it might be needed.

Good luck x

Hello @WingingIt101 I'm so late in replying-I've been locked out of my account for months! I hope everything has been going well for you, thank you for your kind words 💕
