Nearly 20 weeks, posterior placenta seen on scan at 16 week private scan- 3rd baby. However not felt any movement, not even a flutter!

Would this concern anyone? Just don't want to be calling midwives if they will think I'm being paranoid 😂

Got my 20 week NHS scan on 29th

Hi OP, do you have a doppler or have you considered one to check your LOs heartbeat?

this is my second pregnancy, no idea on my placenta position but I have been feeling flutters since around 16 weeks. Every pregnancy is different though! I am sure your LO is fine in there but like you, I would end up super paranoid.

There's nothing wrong with calling your midwife if you are unsure! I think it is normal to not feel anything until 20 weeks but there is no harm in checking.

Don't get a doppler though, they are really not recommended by midwives as they can cause false reassurance. They should only be used by trained medical professionals who can interpret the results as even if you do find baby's heartbeat it doesn't always mean that all is ok in there! www.tommys.org/pregnancy-information/blogs-and-stories/im-pregnant/pregnancy-news-and-blogs/no-home-scanning-device-doppler-or-app-can-tell-you-if-your-baby-well

I am 20w tomorrow and not felt anything yet I do not think, I too have a posterior placenta. I have a private scan on Mon and all was OK. I have a doppler which I only intend to use until I feel movement. This is my 2nd baby (first was born 21 years ago). I am not overly worried, I have found her heartbeat on the doppler and I had the scan on Mon.
