Essential oils (Rosemary) in pregnancy

I ate a dolmio white lasagne sauce and it listed very last on the list 'rosemary extract'. 1. Is this the type of rosemary that should be avoided during pregnancy. I have heard some rosemary should be as can promote uterus/ mentsruation. Please help I'm scared I've harmed my baby. I am sure this level is fine but just panicking.

Isn't Rosemary just a dried herb? I'm sure it will be fine x

Yes I think so but it was the extract version. They say rosemary is bad

Who's "they"? Is it on the NHS website?

I'd say even if it was dangerous, the amount contained in the sauce would be so minuscule compared to what you consume of it that it wouldn't make the blindest bit of difference!

ncforinkhelp · 11/04/2022 19:26

Massively overthinking. It's a lasagne sauce.

Sorry OP but you’re being totally insane

It is right that some essential oils aren't recommended in pregnancy but don't worry, you wouldn't come across it in that form in food anyway as essential oils are so concentrated. So your pasta will have been fine

Lots of NHS trusts have info about essential oils if you Google it, like this one. www.enherts-tr.nhs.uk/content/uploads/2019/10/Aromatherapy-and-massage-MLU-Final-09.2017-web.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjWi-Tt0oz3AhXUh1wKHWVGDBQQFnoECDEQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2Q-oX_f8ptpSEuwldFiPgz

*just to flag that it is rosemary oil as an essential oil that is cautioned against in pregnancy, not the extract or the herb itself

OP, it's rosemary, an ingredient in lasagne sauce. You've posted other ott questions, please seek out some help for this anxiety
