pg symptons seem to be reducing - worried - anyone else had this?!

Hi

I'm driving myself mental because my pg symptoms seem to have reduced in the last few days...

*haven't need to wee during the night since Thurs
*no 'womb stretchy' pains since Sat
*Less nauseous (still no appetite though)

I am 6+4, and am torturing myself, as my last pg ended around this point (died at 6w, m/c at 8).

Anyone got any words of reassurance - maybe successful p/gs where symptoms were up and down?

Getting to 12 weeks seems like a lifetime away - any tips for patience?!

Shouldn't really be doing this at work, but I'm very distracted - will try to check back at lunch....

Fingers crossed, Tryingnottoobsess. (And for Alex!) I hope it all works out for you!

I have heard that thing about super fertility too. Looking at women's health sites on the internet, getting pregnant straight away is certainly possible, although unlikely apparently. Anyway had better log off and go to my husband's birthday party where I shall not be drinking(another down side of not knowing if I'm pregnant!).

Thanx tryinnottoobsess, yes i have just over 3wks to go!! im getting so scared now, but really eager to meet my baby girl!! it really cant come quick enough, had a midwife home visit on wednesday and she said her head is engaged and everything is headed the right way, so hopefully not too long now

looneytune · 11/01/2008 22:26

Oh how I feel for you!!! I'm 16+4 weeks and had the very same thing. Had symptoms, especially a very strong metal taste in mouth etc. and at around 5/6 weeks my symptoms all went at once one day and the next day I started having some bleeding. It wasn't much, just enough to make me panic like mad (had mc in the past). Had to wait a couple of days for a scan which was agony, no heartbeat and had to wait a week to check again. That week was so painful, was convinced I'd lost the baby, really I was! Had scan after a week and I burst into tears when they told me there was a heartbeat - I wasn't expecting that at all. I've found this pregnancy very up and down and no feelings of being pregnant apart from being tired but that could have been down to worry etc. Anyway, heartbeat heard on Tuesday so that was reassuring but I'll never forget how I felt about not having these pregnancy feelings. Now I think I was lucky to feel so normal but it doesn't help with the worrying.

Lots of {{{hugs}}} and best of luck. Let us know how it goes, that wait is agony

LT xx

good to 'see' u loon!!

trish12 · 11/01/2008 22:36

Im glad all is well now LT, i bet the relief you felt was overwhelming!! anyway your past that intial stage of constant worry now so just sit back and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, and make the most of those quiet times, coz once you get to 20wks it flies by, i cant believe how quick its gone since then and ill soon have my baby

looneytune · 11/01/2008 22:52

Hi gigglewitch, I decided to come back to my old name, didn't feel me being SSAATN!! How are you?

Trish - thanks. And yes, I'm starting to not worry like I was now that I feel movement It's just been one thing after another with things happening but luckily all the other problems turned out to be hospital panicking etc. and all is ok. Got my scan in just over 3 weeks which I can't wait for and hopefully the rest will fly by. I have lots of little kids (I'm a childminder) keeping me busy so every day goes really quick

TNTO - I'll be thinking of you hun xx

Hi Alex75

I've just seen your post and can reassure you that getting pregnant immediately after coming off the pill is very possible. I was pregnant about 2 weeks after stopping, having been on it for years and years. We hoped for a quick result so that positive pg test was wonderful, but now like many of the ladies on here am constantly worried that everything is ok, with fluctuating symptoms. I'm only 8wks and know this is the 'danger' zone, but am trying to think positively and imagine only good things.

tryingnottoobsess · 12/01/2008 17:44

Oh Looneytune, another positive story - thanks! Sounds like you really went through the mill emotionally. How wonderful for you that after all that worry you can feel your little one moving.

Trish - what a mind bender to be that close - it must be like when the roller coaster pauses at the top, and you're waiting for the crazy ride to begin!

Alex75, hope you enjoyed your husband's party even with no booze! Hope all is well x

erm, more like a ticking timebomb, lol!! but yeah, it is gonna be crazy, i know how hard those sleepless nights are gonna be, its been ten years since my first, so its gonna be a shock to the system, but i cant wait now, and shes sooooo worth it!! im 37wks on tuesday so i know i could go anytime after that, im already on the rasberry leaf

tryingnottoobsess · 18/01/2008 11:49

Hi,
I said I'd let you know , so here it is... unfortunately they confirmed on Weds that my pregnancy hadn't progressed, and I had an ERPC that afternoon.

It's a real shame, but honestly I feel better knowing. Waiting for the 2nd scan was far more stressful/emotional.

All the best to all of you, I'm going to take a little break, but I'm sure I'll be back ttc soon!
