Hey! Over the past few weeks me and my partner have been looking at prams. We decided we want a 3 in 1 for ease. The one that we love the look of is the Ickle Bubba V3 in all black.

Has anyone owned one of these before and can share your views and opinions on it please? Is it worth buying?

Don't do it 😅

Sorry can't help but I always wanted one. Never actually bought one though because I didn't know anyone who had one and don't remember ever seeing anyone using one.

I haven't bought one. But we were showen 3 travel sysyems in Smyths a couple of weeks ago. The girl gave us a long demonstration and let us test out. I'm probably going for a different one as it suits our needs better, but the Ickle bubba V3 is a close second.

Things we liked about it were; that it had the 4 year waranty, so if we have a second child it would cover that. It had the bassinet, seat, and carseat (some travelsystems dont have a bassinet).

Depending on your point of veiw the next thing could be a plus or a negative, the bassinet comes fitted on a frame, when you want to use the buggy seat you unclip the fabric from the bassinet and clip the chair on to the same fram. So you don't have a whole seat to store, just some fabric.

Some negatives for us where that the seat can only be used from 6 months and that the bassinet is unsutable for any overnight sleeping.

I had the V2 so not much difference. I loved mine but the rear wheels are huge. I like the look but they aren't practical to navigate on busy high streets, on busses or at appointments - I've ran over many feetBlush.

Because of the wheels, the frame barely fits in my boot (Ford Fiesta).

Lovely travel system overall though and did well for my DS1, now being used for DS2.

Thanks everyone, all really helpful! I think we're definitely going to go for one, I've been doing some more research tonight and it seems like the best option for usSmile I love the chunky wheels!!

I've had the v3 for 13 months now (used since birth to now - baby is 13 months old). I've loved it, I don't drive so use it a lot during the week for walks and trips out. I live in a relatively busy city and have used it on the bus loads, can get in and around all shops I've tried. can be a little awkward in doctor appointments but that's more so because my doctors seems to have quite cramped rooms anyway 🤣. I had a chunky baby and the carrycot was fine until 6 months, seat reclines are handy for when out and about and she was due a nap/fell asleep. basket can hold a decent amount of shopping. It does fairly well on slightly rougher terrain as well, we don't do walks in woods etc with it, but we have some super bumpy, cobbly streets and some nature trails and it's held up well.

Car seat with isofix has been fab. My chunky baby still hasn't hit the weight limit yet (she was 98th percentile but is slowing down a bit as she's more mobile etc), so lasts a long time.

will say my only negative is that it doesn't fold with the seat until facing you, it has to be facing outwards, but that was only an issue when we lived in a flat at the start, but we are now in a house and have the room for the buggy to be up in the entrance all the time anyway.

I would say keep an eye out as they have £100 off the full travel system set quite often

I have the ickle bubba v3 for my daughter and we love it it's been taken on loads of all terrain walks and mainly used in and out of the car but it is bulky especially with the carrycot. I had a small hatchback and it took up the whole boot and I had no room for shopping so had to upgrade my car. It's great to be able to attach the car seat when baby is asleep too.

We got ours in Nov 2020 as part of a deal (I think it was kiddiekingdom) and you got the travel system, bouncer chair, next to me crib, highchair and accessories for £500 which was less than half the cost of some prams alone. Hope that helps 🥰

Loved ours, it’s in the loft now waiting for the next baby hopefully.
It’s a bit chunky but comfy for baby, reasonably priced and we were pleased with the car seat bit- got lots of use out of all three ‘modes’.

@mol2mum This is the one we like too!
Saw one in smyths and liked it's against the others
I too like the wheels
Think we want to look and compare to others but so far it's my fave x

mol2mum · 07/04/2022 09:18

Ahh thanks ladies, your good reviews have lead us to ordering it! It's on sale at the moment on Ickle Bubba for £499 with isofix base and other little extras and (heads up to others in emergency services) I got 10% blue light discount on topGrin

sorry random question but what car did you upgrade to if you don’t mind me asking?? We are looking at upgrading ours and looking to find one that will fit our stomp v3 in fine 😊

Fayekrista · 21/06/2022 13:04

I love my ickle bubba v3.... only thing I would say though is it takes up a lot of room in the boot!
However, not an issue for me as I don't drive lol
I always get compliments on how stylish it is

I boycott this brand due to the execrable name.
