5 weeks and constant stomach pain

Hello all! I had my BFP on Monday and im about 5 weeks pregnant- I have been having on and off stomach pains all week. Usually quite mild but they can be quite severe. I have also had yellow / light brown discharge throughout the week. No bleeding. Has anyone experienced this? I called 111 and have been referred to the EPU for an early scan but I haven't yet been contacted by them.

Would be great to hear other people's experiences.

I've had cramping which has been on/off and a bit sharp at times but mostly like period pains? If it's severe then EPU would be a good idea just to get checked over 🙂 brown discharge could be implantation bleeding? Hopefully EPU will get you in and give you peace of mind x

Is the pain like period pain or sharp stretchy pain? Lots of cramping is normal, your uterus is stretching a lot. I get sharp pains in early pregnancy if I cough or sneeze, but it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

If you have 1 sided sharp pains then that might mean something like ectopic pregnancy so keep an eye out for that.

Brown discharge would probably be implantation bleeding. Yellow is fairly normal in pregnancy (for me anyway) and has never meant anything is wrong in my case!
