PCOS, TTC 3 years, 2x miscarriages. Positive test.

Hi background - one child - 4.

Trying to conceive for last 3 years.
Previous 2x miscarriages in a row.
Newly diagnosed with PCOS & started on clomid.

Second month of taking and late period - tested today and have 5 positive tests.

Phoned gynae consultant and awaiting next steps. I also have low progesterone.

Anyone in a similar boat or had positive stories? I can't help but think this won't go my way again. I can't get excited or hopeful until I know it will be ok this time.

I literally could have written this post myself we have been TTC the same amount of time. I also have a 4 year old and was diagnosed with PCOS after my first miscarriage.

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant on my fourth round of clomid - Id taken a break in between cycles.

I got put on progesterone pessaries x2 a day from 5.5 weeks after an early scan confirming the location of the pregnancy - I would push for this it has given me so much reassurance.

I also had a follow up scan at 7 weeks.

I hope this all goes well for you ❤️ I'm also feel like I'm holding my breath until 12 weeks but each week feels like a milestone! X

Ahh thanks so much for your message.

That's amazing news that you are 8 weeks. My last period for 4 weeks ago so it says I'd be about that. I was really hoping I'd get offered an early scan at some point just for some extra reassurance. Or I may go private for one as I do feel it would make me feel better.

Yes definitely see if they will scan you early, just to give you that reassurance and if you have known low progesterone then definitely start the conversation with the pessaries.

I hope these next few weeks go quickly and well for you so you can get out of the first trimester anxiety ❤️
