5 weeks and slow heart beat.

Hi wondered if anyone had experience with slow heart beat, so early on.
I went to the EPU last week cause I had brown discharge, they scanned me and said they could see a sac but nothing inside. So sent me for blood tests. My hCG had increased, so asked to come back for a scan this week. I have just been and she said there is a embryo now and a heart beat, but she wasn't sure it was right. So booked me again for another scan in a week. I wondered if anyone had, had this and what was the outcome? Thanks.

Unfortunately for myself and most friends I know who also experienced this it wasn't a good outcome but it really depends on how far along you are? If you are only just 5 weeks then that's very early to see a best way and would say your dates might be slightly off? If you are say 7 weeks it would depend on the heart rate - I know my doctors wanted heartbeats over 110

I'm not sure when my last period was. It's the hospital, who said it measures less than 6 weeks.

My 6 week foetus had a slow heart rate although within normal limits. I was unhappy with it and my midwife agreed. I had a second scan at 8w and everything was fine. Foetus is now a healthy, happy child.

My baby at 5 weeks had a slow heart rate. They said they always start off slow and speed up about 6 weeks then peak about 9/10 weeks then reduce as they grow. How slow was it?

She never told me. She just said she thought it didn't look right.
