Looking for positive Covid stories

Hi all,
I have just tested positive for Covid at 19 weeks pregnant 😞. I actually feel pretty well in myself at the moment. My husband had it last week and I moved out as soon as we realised and stayed at my mum's while he was positive. However, while I was there my brother tested positive so I tried to keep my distance as best as I could. I have managed to avoid it the whole pandemic until now, I'm gutted 😞
This baby is my rainbow baby after losing my first child at 33 weeks last year (not Covid related). I have had all 3 jabs, but I'm terrified the baby will have complications or become unwell. Did anyone else have Covid during pregnancy and have any positive stories of healthy babies they could share to help keep my anxiety at bay 😣
Thank you 💖

Hi. I had 5 miscarriages before this pregnancy and am now 38 weeks pregnant. Had quite severe covid at 32 weeks (and was high risk for covid in shielding category when we had that etc). No reason to believe any issue with baby - have had 2 scans since. Obviously baby not here yet to reassure you further though.

Thank you for sharing 💖 good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx

I had covid at 38 weeks pregnant. Apart from feeling rubbish and having zero energy (how much of that was covid vs third trimester, I don't know!), everything was absolutely FINE.

If anything, midwives said my baby would be born with some great antibodies!

She's nearly 7 weeks now and doing great :)

Look after yourself and please don't worry; your baby will just be enjoying the extra sleep and rest! xx

Thank you so much 💖 it's so reassuring to hear! I have no living children currently so it's hard to assume everything could be okay this time around, but stories like yours really do help - thank you xx

I had covid quite bad at 19wks I'm only 22.5 now but has my 20week scan and all is good and baby kicking around now which I can feel daily

That must be so hard from what you've gone through previously.

So many posts on here that mums have had covid
My midwife said the same
Baby would have built up some nice antibodies! Xx

I know quite a few women who had covid in pregnancy and all have been fine (and all babies are born now) if I understand right the only real risk is in the 3rd trimester when the chance of an early birth increases. I don't think they've identified any other risks to the baby.

I had Covid in October when I was 30 weeks pregnant. I have a healthy, beautiful 10 weeks baby girl now 🙂 I am actually glad I got it while I was pregnant so I didn't had to worry about it so much in the hopsital (and I belive the baby has antibodies as well?)Covid won't effect the baby, but I complitely understand your worry. Ask your midwife for a scan due to your history, or get a privet one if you can. Seeing the baby kicking around will help you put your mind at ease.

Thank you so much everyone! I am going to book a private scan as soon as I'm negative just to check she's still looking okay, thank you 💖

I know two women who had Covid pre-vaccine (one had it when she gave birth!) and their babies are fine. I had it at 28 weeks, I felt fine after day 2 and all seems fine with the baby - she’s not here yet (I’m 35 weeks now) but no cause for alarm/reduced movements etc. I had not had a booster. I think she and I have some awesome antibodies now as last week I was sat in a small room for two hours squished up against two people who tested positive two days later…and I’m fine! Get well soon Flowers
