I'm only 5 weeks pregnancy, 2 weeks ago I had covid, followed by tonsillitis and now I've got a horrible D&V bug. I'm very rarely unwell usually, and I'm really worried that all these viruses in short a short space of time could be harmful to the baby. I'm not managing to even eat currently, I am getting fluids but just a bit worried really.

Was hoping some mumsnetters could put my mind at ease? Or offer any advice on how to stop getting sick 🤣

This sounds just like me, all 3 of my pregnancies were like this constantly. DH even called an ambulance when I was 8 weeks with pregnant because I was really bad with D&V and in agony with both 1 & 2. All 3 babies born very healthy. I was ill constantly with number 2 for 22 weeks, I had a 4 week break before it all started again. I had 5 rounds of antibiotics in 6 weeks with number 1. Number 3 was much better after the first trimester I was much healthier than I had been with my others.

Keep your fluids up, if you can’t eat you can’t eat, it should eventually pass. I barely ate anything through my first trimesters, when I could eat I very rarely kept down. Just make sure your taking prenatal vitamins when you can and rest. If things feel too bad don’t be afraid to call the dr or go to primary care.
