Pregnant after ectopic -high anxiety

Hello,

I experienced a ectopic pregnancy over Christmas 2021 it was dealed with expectant management and HCG went to 0 by 24th of Jan (7wees after bfp) however a mass was still seen at that point.

I got a bfp on 13th of March and have really strong progression on pregnancy tests (keep testing like a crazy person) and I went privately to get my HCG done at 13dpo which came back 198.
I have really strong nausea (did not have any with my DS) now my anxiety is totally spiraling out of control and I am thinking it must be a molar pregnancy since I am having such strong symptoms at 5weeks.
I have a scan booked for tomorrow (5/1) to see if the pregnancy is located in the uterus.

Bottom line I need some reassurance and how have you guys managed the anxiety after an ectopic. I literally keep googling every little symptom and switch between it is an ectopic again to it is a molar pregnancy - pure madness. (well obvs could be but obvs could also be a healthy pregnancy )

Anyway any advise / support appriciated!! x

Congratulations! I had an ectopic last March, but unfortunately haven’t fallen pregnant again since so it’s been a frustrating year in that front. I had terrible nausea with my first DS, none at all when I had the ectopic so I would take it as a good sign! I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow.

I had an ectopic almost 2 years ago - ruptured tube and emergency surgery. Took us 18 months to get pregnant again but I'm not 18 weeks. The good thing is you'll know very early on if it's interuterine and hopefully be able to relax. I'd also had 2 miscarriages so knowing it was in the right place just felt like step 1!

I had a ruptured ectopic in 2017 & a mc in 2020. When I fell pregnant last year my symptoms were much much stronger from the time I found out at just over 4 weeks. I still worried throughout my pregnancy but my little boy is now 5 months. Wishing you the best of luck!

I had a ruptured ectopic several years ago, around a year later I fell pregnant & I now have a very healthy, boisterous 18mo. I remember the initial anxieties & every ache/pain sent me to maternity assessment, I promise after the 12 & 20 week scan my ectopic anxieties lessened & I was then just plagued with normal pregnancy/new parenting anxieties. Good luck with your scan tomorrow, I hope everything is where it should be & you continue to have a healthy pregnancy SmileFlowers
