Anyone been to Winstanleys Pramworld?

I'm a first time mum and would really like to test out the two prams that I've whittled it down to. The problem is they're both prams that are not sold in regular shops like John Lewis (They're Bebecar and Emmaljunga prams). The best place I can find that stock both of these in the same store is Winstanleys Pramworld. Our closest one would be the Stoke-on-Trent store, which is fine, but it's 2 1/2 hours from us. I'm happy to make this drive, but wondered if people have been and felt it was worth the drive? Also if anyone has experience with either of these pram brands? Thank you 🙂

@Coffeeandcupcake we live near winstanleys. If your wanting to compare the prams check they have both in that store first. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Would need a big boot if you go in the car a lot with those prams.

Thank you @Hmum0fthree that's a good idea, I'll ring and check. Yes that's my only worry, we have a 4x4 but I'm hoping to do as much walking as possible. I can walk to the local supermarkets, centre of town and my parents, but would not to drive to DH's parents, although we tend to visit them
less frequently. Part of the visit is I was hoping they would be able to see if it will fit in the car and how easy it would be to do. I know they do both fold down so fingers crossed 🤞

I've been there a few times just to browse but found the service was awful. You have to make an appointment to go on the weekend but even with that, we were let in the building and told someone will come help us soon, 30 mins later and after asking someone eventually came to us but wasn't useful at all.

Xyzzzzz · 24/03/2022 19:50

I’ve ordered directly online and no issues.

Coffeeandcupcake · 24/03/2022 20:21

Oh really @Pops17 ? It would be a week day we would go so wouldn't need to book, but still that doesn't sound great. Was that the stoke one?

I'm not sure where else stocks them, I may just have to go to two separate stores.

I would just order order @Xyzzzzz but I'd really like to try them out first if I can. It's such an expensive mistake to make! Had you seen your pram before you bought yours or did you just go for it?

Mine was just a stroller I needed for nipping out and about. So I just went ahead based on reviews

DH and I just dropped in and the service was fantastic, the woman was really knowledgeable and not trying to over sell. We saved loads of money compared to buying anywhere else. This was over two years ago now so I guess things could be different now but I thought it was fab.

I live near the Wigan shop and found them really helpful, I went in on a weekday and spent ages with one of their sales assistants trying out different prams. They also price match with other shops including Internet retailers.

Ive been and we had a long drive to think it was 1 1/2. Wouldn't say the customer service was that great but the girl that served us was very young so might be she hasn't long started maybe. All she did was show us how to fold the stroller down that was it. Couldnt really answer any questions on the carseats did say about trying it on their tester car seat in store but nothing said about trying anything in our actual car so I didn't even know you could do that. Wish we had now as we spent a lot of money there we have since had problems with the car seat because they didn't show us how to use it properly.
