Hi all so iv put 3 scan pics together of 3 of my kids,not going to say what gender they are but the bottom one iam currently pregnant with,I just so want to know if it's boy or girl lol got a gender scan on the 31st but I like a good guessing game lol any ideas lovely ladies?x

Top -girl
Middle - boy
Bottom - can't see nub but will go girl by skull!

I’d guess that the third is a girl.

On the topic of gender scans, I’ve always referred to them as gender scans, and most places also refer to them as gender scans, but I was surprised the other day when I went for a private scan with window to the womb they have now changed it to “sexing scan”. Two years ago it was definitely called a gender scan when I went there to find out if I was having a girl or boy, so only recently changed! Someone obviously complained.

Words matter.

'Sex' is correct for the scan you're having. You're having a scan to determine the sex of the baby. 'Gender' is a societal construct.

I think it’s very tricky to tell but I’d guess girly as it’s very flat, but I can’t see the end so there is a chance it’s stacked and could be a boy. Terribly sorry I’m not any more help but roll on the gender scan I can not wait for mine I’m only 10 weeks so a while still yet but I am going to get a good guess at the 12 week scan then I’ll be booking my gender scan for 15 weeks in the hope of them not noticing I’m 15 weeks and me pretending I’m 16 weeks lol

@hashbrownsandwich I hope so,be nice for my youngest to have a little brother to play with as Il have two girls and two boys at home,my eldest is 21 now and lives with he's girlfriend so only got one boy at home,plus I think the scan also looks like my boy in the middle and not my girl at the top,god it's so annoying haha soon find out x

@Nikki037297 thank you for your guesses hun,baby was very naughty at the scan and was wriggling all over and laid with its back to us and upside down haha so not the best position to have a look haha x

@BIWI yes iam going to find out the sex of my baby at my gender scan thanks iam fully aware of this but thanks for keeping me informed on what iam doing that's really helpful

Oh look what this says on my confirmation email for my GENDER SCAN how bizarre I just inform them they are wrong

Using the word 'gender' isn't an insult that's going to affect you. It's the wrong word. There's a difference!

@BIWI please shush now your really boring me,ring hospitals etc and get them to change the wording for it then,it's not my fault we ALL know it as a gender scan plain and simple it's just peoples preferences now a days that makes everything so hard,you have to watch everything you say nowadays so you don't offend anyone it's stupid everyone needs to grow up a bit and just deal with it,if it starts to get called a sex scan then Il refare to it as that but as it stands right now it's called a gender scan so that's what il call it thank you
