I have had a couple of extra scans at the end of my pregnancy due to my placenta looking low at 20 weeks. I’m now nearly 36 weeks and placenta isn’t coving my cervix however baby is transverse. I went down to my maternity unit today to get baby monitored for something else and the midwife’s commented on how baby was in a weird position - head in my right rib, back over my cervix and her legs on my left side. They explained that it was a dangerous position as if I was to go into labour and my waters break it can cause her cord to prolapse. The midwife said they’ll flag it up on my 36 week scan tomorrow and probably offer to try to turn baby. Has anyone had this procedure? Did your baby turn or even turn naturally before your due date?
