Disappearing symptoms at 10 weeks

Hi all,

This is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what to expect or how my body reacts to being pregnant.

My first symptom was constantly peeing, then I had really sore boobs for weeks and a metallic taste in my mouth. All these have disappeared and I am getting a bit worried 😔 it's now week 10 and I would have expected symptoms to get worse? I've had no pain or spotting.

I had my pregnancy assessment with the midwife last week, and still waiting for my scan date. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience and everything was okay when they went for the 12 weeks scan.

Many thanks x

Congratulations on your pregnancy. We are all different. How long have your symptoms gone for? Mine came and went and looking back changed pretty slowly in the pregnancy that continued and there was no real difference between that and the pregnancy that ended and was picked up on the scan. I hope that reassures you.

I had more or less constant nausea for a couple of weeks, then from 9 weeks onwards absolutely nothing. My babies are 2 now (yep, turns out there were two of them!) It was strange, for the vast majority of my pregnancy I didn't feel pregnant at all!

Every pregnancy is different. With my first son I didn't really get any symptoms at all throughout pregnancy, except maybe the odd few times of sore boobs but other than that no classic symptoms of pregnancy. With my second my symptoms fluctuated, sometimes I would have lots of symptoms, sore boobs, peeing a lot, sickness, tiredness etc then other times nothing at all. It is our body adjusting to all those rushing hormones and taking in the pregnancy.
Both boys were fine and healthy at the 12 week scan, it can be such as worry as we don't know what is going on inside there for a while.

Congratulations and I hope that makes you feel a little better x

Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences!

It's such a difficult wait and it took us a year of trying so understandably were a bit anxious. But it's so reassuring to know that other people have had similar experiences!

X

It's very common, your placenta is likely to have developed to a point to take over blood and hormone regulation to the baby, and that can can lead to an easing of symptoms

My symptoms dissapeared around week 9-10, but I'm sure that's normal as have a healthy 6 weeks old baby.🙂
Also, when I had my mmc I started to bleed before my symptoms were gone. Not sure if it's helps, but if you don't bleed I belive it's all good!

I wrote near enough the same thread around 3 days ago. I'm 10w 2d and I'm exactly the same, zero symptoms! This is my second pregnancy but with my first, we didn't find out I was pregnant until 11 weeks so I'm guessing I didn't have any symptoms back then to make me want to test.
From my thread I saw that it was quite common at this stage for symptoms to disappear. Although saying that I've hardly had any from the moment I found out! I guess we're just lucky!

It's such a worrying time isn't it :( and such a long wait to wait for the 12 week scan.
