Covid pregnancy and sickness

I am starting to think there is a link between pregnancy sickness ramping up and covid. I caught covid then found out I was pregnant 5 days later. So covid was pretty much gone but the sickness was out of this world. Only now 1.5 weeks later it’s starting to settle when I’m 5 weeks pregnant.

Basically if you have caught covid while pregnant did your morning sickness get worse?

My god yes!!! I’m 8 weeks and tested positive for covid earlier this week and the sickness has been unreal!!! Vomiting multiple times a day. For 3 days solid I barely kept anything down I thought I was going to need to go into hospital on a drip. My covid test was negative yesterday as that was day 5, my sickness was better yesterday and today. But it had been the worst Iv ever had!

I’ve seen a few ladies post about having bad sickness with pregnancy and covid. I’m starting to think there actually is a link that isn’t very well known

I posted about this in the hypermesis group! I do think there is a link with COVID and severe morning sickness. What I can’t say but COVID is such a strange virus it could do anything!

@ChloeHel it’s crazy isn’t it?! I knew I had seen a few comments about it before.

Yes I had posted a few times too about it. It was dreadful I’m sure I became dehydrated I had such a terrible headache one night and I was still being sick: my covid test went negative yesterday and my sickness is a lot better today

I had Covid at 10 weeks and my sickness became MUCH worse. That and a headache were my symptoms of Covid! (I was testing due to hubby and son having it). I ended up on the tablets that absorb in to your blood stream as I couldn’t even keep liquid down.
