Hello

Is anyone else getting migraine like headaches in early pregnancy? I am 7 weeks pregnant and on oestrogen and progesterone supplements as it is an IVF pregnancy.

Thanks

Hiya, firstly congratulations!!

I'm currently 16 now but during the earlier stages, I was suffering from extreme migraines (I'm prone to then anyways but pregnancy made them worse), there were days I could barely eat and took about 3 days of hibernating in the dark for them to calm down and got sent home from work on a few occasions as they were soo bad. As you're taking additional hormones, I would speak to your midwife about them or your IVF doctors (I'm sorry not sure if thats how it works) but definitely speak to someone about it but during early pregnancy, migraines are generally normal. I hope this helps!

Thank you - I will give them a call - glad to it isn’t just me - I have my booking in appointment on Thursday and will be scanned and signed off (hopefully - fingers crossed) by the clinic on Friday so if I don’t manage to speak to them before then I will pick up with them then.

Hello
Congratulations! I have occasional migraines in normal times, but had lots in my first trimester. I also had IVF.
Definitely check in with your midwife or consultant though just to put your mind at rest.

Yeah I'm 9 weeks and I'm getting regular headaches and the odd migraine it's so annoying.

I used to get headaches when pregnant and often a can of full fat coke would see them off, I know this sounds a bit crackers but more than one lady I know has said the same.

I've got one as I type. Took one paracetamol which has done absolutely nothing !

Yep my midwife recommended this and it worked a treat!
